What I’m building

Systems have layers and lasting - systemic - change only happens when interventions target all levels.

At the core of my work is a belief that inclusive growth doesn’t happen by accident. It is built – deliberately - through systems that align across various levels: policy, institutions, support structures and lived reality.

SoVenture is the strategic layer in a model that I’m building and refining in real time.

SoVenture is where I work with institutions to design long-term strategies, strengthen capacity and support ecosystem development. My work is strongly focused on turning ambition into delivery that creates impact and my approach is grounded in systems thinking and real-world constraints. Clients are usually multilateral organisations, BSOs, NGOs, governments and global consultancies.

Guide My Growth is my SME-focused initiative. Here, I translates business insights into actionable and scalable tools for businesses that are at the growth stage. It’s where I work directly with business owners to test what works for their business model, profitability and sustainable growth. It’s also where I source insights about how support systems need to evolve to serve SMEs. For me, this is about building businesses that last.

I founded Mineke Foundation in 2009 to continue the legacy of my Dutch mother and Liberian fatherIts two pillars are affordable education and women & youth entrepreneurship. The latter includes skills & business training, a tiered microloan scheme and peer-to-peer lending and a gender programme. It is a live testing ground for what it takes to build inclusive systems in low-resource and low-capacity settings, particularly for informal entrepreneurs.

Why this matters

Every system is shaped by its layers.

These components are part of a deliberate model. Because I lead and build at each of these levels, I bring a systems lens that’s grounded in delivery, not just theory. I’ve seen where top-down strategies fail to reach the ground and I know where bottom-up innovation gets stuck.
